Funds Available for Implementation and Capacity-Building
In 2023, the Biophilia Foundation launched an effort to increase the speed and scale of riverscape restoration using low-tech, process-based restoration methods (LTPBR). This initiative will continue in 2024, with grants available for implementation, capacity building, and engagement.
Grants of $50,000 to $100,000 are available for projects that implement LTPBR and/or beaver-based restoration of upland streams and rivers.
Grants up to $25,000 are avaiable for capacity building projects that assist with the development of watershed plans, place-based networks, or preparation of proposals for federal or state grants. Grants up to $25,000 are also available for outreach to landowners and land managers to improve the availability of information and make implementation achievable.
For more information, see the 2024 Riverscape Restoration RFP.
